A Fruitful Holiday

It all started on last Thursday where I had my first camp. It was the Green Fusion Camp organized by club environmental ranger’s society. My first impression of the camp was that it would be a boring one, and so I treated it lightly for it won't be too much of a difference compared to previous camps. One main reason why we killed that thought was because of the programs and activities they had installed for us. It really surprises me as I never thought that we would be visiting those places and stuff.
On the first day, it was a long journey to the HB Goat Farm and the road was quite bumpy, making us real sick. We had no choice, but to endure! Upon reaching there, we were invited inside and one of the staff brought us to this milk processing station where we can have a look at how the goat is milked, etc. Next, we proceed on to the feeding station after we tasted the milk. Some of my friends even bought dried grass from the stall there, just to have the experience of feeding an animal. It was so fun, looks like everyone is enjoying themselves. Took a group photo under the hot scorching sun before we left for the next location.
Next stop was the visit to the Newater plant. Quite educational and beneficial for all of us as we were taught how and where our water source comes from and the processes of it and by doing so, we may not have to be dependent on other resources for water supplies. I found the whole trip quite interesting and surely,I personally thinks that I had gain pretty much knowledge about everything. And yet again, we had our group photo taking session before heading back to campus for more activities.
Firstly, we kicked off with some ice-breaker games within the group and through that, I'd got a chance to know some of them which then we became good friends. For example, mak and yeeshan. Next up was dinner and treasure hunt at night which we came in second.
Wash up and off we went to Al Almin's roti prata stall opposite beauty world center for supper. The 7 of us( Sherwin, mak, mingjie, chen kun, yee shan, hui shan and me) walked there. Got back to the our bunks only at 1+a.m. We didn’t went straight to bed and instead stayed up to listen ghost stories. And only went to bed at 3a.m.
Next day, was just the visiting of the incineration plant and back for de-brief session and that was the end of the first camp.

On Saturday, I proceed on to the World Famine Camp held at Republic Polytechnic. It was a wonderful sight to see so many participants in the camp, roughly 700 of them I guess. Hmm, the fun part came when it was the mass game; everyone was roaming everywhere, stations to stations. And for me, I was put in charge for the health department. It was the busiest among them all, as people kept coming in for treatment. All in all, it was tiring but fun after all.
The committees went for supper after the game ended. Traveled to Mac, had a quick bite and back to the campus for more activities or wasn't that any? We just laze around; play cards, chat, msn, listen to music and stuff till morning.
We were dismissed at 7a.m. But then only hui shi, yee shan and me went for breakfast at Mac. Saw the rest of the seniors there too. Accompany yee shan home before heading to church for Sunday service. Soccer match in the afternoon against the adults at Ngee Ann. But unfortunately, we lost 2-0. Nevertheless, I felt the team did a pretty nice job and everyone performed well that day. A pat on the back… =)
Went home to pack my stuff for dance camp the next day. Anyway, HAPPY'S FATHER DAY too!

Next will be Dance Camp, will not elaborate too much on that as my post is already long enough. But some main highlights of it were that, I was appointed as the group leader and yeah, brought the whole group together for practices for our performance and also the games. So delighted to have this opportunity to play this role. Anyway, dance camp was fun. Basically, it's all about dance practices throughout the 3 days with just a little of games. And would you believe it?, the dance steps we choreograph came in first, and won the top prize. Yeah, JIVE ALL THE WAY!
And thanks to everyone for being there for me,especially my group members. Love you guys, in particular they are ( Greg, Evonne, Gino, Serf, Justin and of course my partner Jasmine). Remember to meet up someday to do some catching up…

Night cycling later in the night at East Coast Park, off to catch some sleep wills blog again tomorrow.
Anyway, a big thanks to all my GLs, for Green Fusion Camp they are Shu Hui and Christopher, World Famine Camp will be Wan Yan and Dance Camp will be Pamela, Darryl and Faiz.
