List of events

In today’s post, firstly I would like to comment about our BBQ at East Coast part the other day. It was specially arranged for the committee involved in the world famine camp.
We had great food at the BBQ. We also met the sponsors and helpers from other organizations. Some of the primers members were there too; the clique we’re always in. Only Mak, Yee shan, Shu xian, Chen Kun, Vic and I were able to come today. It was a surprise to see the seniors as we thought they won’t be down with us due to involvement in the dinner & dance preparation.

On the 20th last month, as part of our i&e project, a group of us from Ngee Ann Poly visited the orphanage “Melrose” located near the school. As the theme suggests, we decided on that because it has got something to do with community work and therefore we carried out this little project. The objective was to have a day of fun with the orphans, foster stronger bonding between them and us and most importantly, to learn something out of it.
Upon reaching, we started off with self introduction and some games. We played childhood games like “musical chair, dog&bone, blow wind blow, etc...” Never had I enjoyed playing such games! The kids there were great, cute and lovable. Though we encountered some problems during that event, we were able to resolve it. I’m sure everyone has learnt to be more patient after this event, right? And in conclusion, the whole event was a success and I would like to thank my group members for making this event possible. Big thanks to Magdalene, Clarrisa, Yu Hui and Si Min. =)

Next, I’ll be sharing about the next event which is the CAC captain’s ball competition. I will spare you the details. Here’s a brief summary of the event. Basically, congrats to the juniors who were crown champs for the first time in our history book after defeating Yishun Methodist in the finals! A pat on the back too for the seniors, though we didn’t make it to the quarters; We tried our best! Though slightly disappointed, we’ll be looking forward to next year competition, being able to perform and get better results. Anyway, thank you guys for coming down for the competition and also the supporters who have been cheering for us the whole time. It surely had boosted our confidence and agility during the game. Love that, “qc spirit” man! Whoo!
3 cheers for everyone…

do look out for more updates on the post coming up and photos will be uploaded soon…

Back after such a long while…

It’s been a long while since I last update my post. And today, finally found some precious little time I could spend on my blog. This post of mine will be covering what I had gone through these past few weeks.

Firstly, I would sadly announce that I’d join faith Baptist church. Having attended the past few services, I’d made up my mind to stay that for good. Once in awhile, will visit my beloved qcmc, a place where I grew up in. Of course, in the very beginning, it’s hard adapting to their worship style and all, but with the grace of God, I finally did. It has been enjoyable and fun praising the Lord, and also studying his Words. *Two thumbs up!* Hooray!

Shifting back to school life, it’s had always been busy, a word to describe it? I would say “hectic”. Tutorials after tutorials, practical after practical, assignment and projects keep coming and we have to complete as and when the dateline is set. I could possibly say, every other day it’s just as important, no missing of lessons or whatsoever. Rest or break time only comes when it’s time for bed, a few hours of sleep and back to the normal routine again. =s
5 projects on hand, 2 dues this week, 2 next week, 1 after the next. In addition, late august, there’s 4 papers to sit for. Pray that I won’t collapse half-way through the process.

CCAs aren’t a factor that makes me so tired I suppose. But rather, I’ve found myself enjoying in their events, trainings, etc… Every time upon hearing there’s event coming up for regardless any cca, it certainly lifts my spirits up. The times we spent together was certainly essential and it did gave me some boost, a time to relax myself and to take some time off from those programming and other IT related stuff.
Besides that, trainings are as important too. To build up our stamina and brush up our skills, we had very tough physical training on Tuesday and skills on Thursday. And even though sometimes I felt like giving up, I didn’t, having the goal in my mind which is to get into the IVP team to represent Ngee Ann for upcoming matches. For the jersey and team! Scarecrows all the way.
Besides that, attended the dedication service organized by BB primers which in turns spurred me on to join fcbc. A few more events coming up such as the WVC appreciation bbq and the 4th anniversary dinner & dance would definitely be fun. ERS too will be coming up with events, and the tee we’ll be getting makes me feel so excited.

But of course, there will be happy and sad times. After such a long period of time, the healing did come but to less effect. Though that was the case, through this little setback, God allows me to discover many things in life that you and I wouldn’t have thought of, lessons after lessons He guided me, taught me about lot of stuff and build me up as whom I am today. For one thing I know, God never fails and He had already drawn His beautiful plans for all of us. Something I have learned. haha.
And thereby, I entrust everything of me to Him, to grow more in Him and to serve him well. All I need now is Your healing hands to find back those remaining lost pieces in my heart, to give me the strength for my daily needs and most importantly to grow in Your words.

Anyway, glad to have made so many friends throughout this few weeks. Thanks for the love, care and concern your had given me. God bless all of you all! <3

Long Waited Post

I am looking forward to more happening events as I settle into a new semester.

This blog was left untouched for a week or so that why I am here to update you guys about the recent events I’d attended during this past week. This week has been great. The night cycle trip with fellow primers people was way beyond fun. I am pretty glad that this trip was not just plainly cycling; it was bonding and catching up session with the other fellow primers people. The respond was much better than what I’d expected. Furthermore, I saw a lot of familiar faces turned out that night. It was really amazing to see my classmate in school and my old schoolmates too. We were divided into groups and leaving at different timing with the interval of 10minutes each. I was counted as one of the fortunate one to be under Bernice and Wun Wei. Our group coordination was quite well throughout the journey and most importantly we had fun being with each other company. It was really a nice experience for me as I made so many friends and we became rather good friends since then.

The journey from east coast to change village was far that why they had pit-stops here and there for some mini-games as well as break for us. I remembered there was one stop which was just somewhere along the stretch of fences of change airport. As we were so excited to see planes land and depart from the air field, the stop there was longer than before. Suddenly, a thought strikes on me. This was the place where people come to send their loved one off, just like the drama series. Its either they can’t make it on time to send to the departure hall or they rather be here than there to see their loved one off. After that, we headed off to the next destination which took 3 hours time. We stayed there for quite some time, at the same time we tried to mingle around to know more people from the trip other than my group mates. Due to long hours of traveling, we will all drained off thats why wun wei tried to wake everyone up by starting off with some pretty interesting game where we have to start alert in order to get hit by him. After this game, everyone seems to be more awake before moving on to some inter-group games. We were back on the bikes to east coast. I was pretty glad being the one encouraging, pushing everyone as we paddled without stopping at the back of the pack as we will way behide schedule. Due to the team spirit, I proudly announce that we completed the ride and came in first. After our breakfast at Mac, I decided to head home to rest after a series of camping and night cycling.

These 2 weeks of holiday has come to an end and we are back to normal school lesson. The first week of the semester seems to be hectic for me due to the heavy workload from projects and assignments that was assigned to me. I almost went crazy upon receiving it. To my surprise, I enjoyed my lessons and perhaps begin to fall in love with it. Exam is just around the corner, and with that in mind I know I had to get down to some serious work on my revision soon.

For Your Information: I’ll be working at Sushi Tei restaurant t Holland, so you guys can feel free to drop by to say hi if you happen to be around there.
And also, photos to be uploaded on friendster.
