The Unconfessed Truth Campus Crusade Camp Reflections

~Prelude~
So coincidental that few days ago, while I was just standing outside the music room waiting for choir practice, I bumped into several crusade friends and got to know about this camp through them. It’s not their fault actually for not informing about this, it just happened that my floor ball training clashes with every fellowship and they might have thought I might be too busy for things?
It was only till the very last minutes that I’ve make decision to attend the camp, reluctantly perhaps? Was still in the stages of consideration because of my tight schedule.
Arrived only on the third day, as I was away in another camp for the first two days. At first, thought that I couldn’t blend in well with the rest of the people, having come so late but was glad that those and most who have known me through camp welcomed me with open arms and loving hearts. Got assigned to a group, SELF-CONTROL! and with Constance as my group leader and the other members of the team, my days were never boring.

~Sharing God’s love~
On day 3, the team went out of the chalet for a mission—spread his love and to share with people about the gospel. Met up with them as we set off to Simei. Having done it before in the previous camp and thus was assigned to one of the freshies. With such an important role on hand, I began to treat everything more seriously and so I started revising on the way there, having not attended much of the evangelistic workshop and lessons.
It feels so great to be back, doing God’s work, spoken to quite a few teenagers during the 2 hours given. One is a christian, and I’m glad that he grew more in faith after speaking to him. One accepted Christ, seeing him wanting to know so much about Him and believing in Christianity, I spent much more time on him, went through a prayer with him and also gave him the book so that he can read on his own. Besides these successes, there were rejections too. There was two of it. Though that was the case, it never draws me back in trying out more; sowing seeds into people’s heart is our only task and leave the rest to His plans.

thanks guys!

~Soul-searching game & extended worship~
On the final night, we played the Underground Church game after a rather high extended worship. It was wonderful, everyone deeply into worship, devoted hearts, songs sang, risen hands, kneeling knees… never have I experience something like this before, hope that my church will practice it someday. The game was a dirty and tiring one and I was feeling kind of emotional after everything ended. The game allows you to experience how people were ill-treated when they spoke up for their faith. The torture were horrible and the impact that has brought upon me was too great, was crying out to God and also at the same time questioning myself, am I willing to die for his faith? and stuff… It was certainly to test your love for Him and his people. Gathered in a circle, prayed and cried together. It ended with warm hugs with everyone, felt so much better than.

~Resolution~
God works in mysterious ways. Amen, he does, but he ALWAYS works. Christianity is the HARDEST life to lead, but in a world of physical wear & tear, Christianity is the only REAL thing on this earth. I learnt so much from this camp either from the talks on LOVE/LIFE/LORD or the sharing and praying with the brothers in CCC. Not forgetting those encouraging sisters too.I LOVE CAMPUS CRUSADE and will be nothing but a joy to see them in campus. I'm gonna let God use me from now onwards, be it in this cca or in church. CHRISTIANITY is not a RELIGION. It's a RELATIONSHIP. Campus Crusade is not a cca. It's the <3... .... hehehe
